Asakusa – Tsukiji – Asakusa
When you are too busy coding and your mind doesn’t work anymore, instead of keep pushing, take a break and do something completely different. That’s what I did on Saturday. I left home in the afternoon and walked down the Sumida River until it ends....
Baby Asahi Beer
I saw this size only in Japan!
Sometimes I saw these small cans, specially on tombs or dead altars.
Too many HDD
This is the result of buying whatever you find in Akihabara. Maybe I should recycle the magnets inside or the plates? This is just a lot of junk that spent already 2 years in my balcony…
Really cheap DIY iPad stand
Do you have an iPad and a book support? That’s what I had at home. I had one book support that I didn’t use, it cost 100 yen, it’s about 0.9€ or $1.3 then you need something to stick on it so the iPad won’t slide down.
That’s all :-)

Massive construction work at Iidabashi

When storage technology improvement will come?
Just look at this screenshot from Apple and let me know what you think:
I’m not criticizing Apple. In fact it’s one of the few companies that is really trying to combine design, technology, usability and performance in their products. Even if stora...
Small power
Small, old and crappy building in Kachidoki close to a big and modern one.
Maybe the owner didn’t want to sell the portion of soil where it was built. I wonder if the architects had to design the building to “avoid” that portion.
The aerial vie...
How Italians vote to STOP Nuclear Power Plants
If you want to see an example of what is NOT a democratic country, of what is NOT a Government that thinks about their own people and that ONLY cares about the interest of corrupt politicians, here you have the ballot that, we Italians, have to vote...

Why the FlyJin phenomenon
The term flyjin has been created in the twitter world of foreigners and expats living in Japan.
It’s a kind of a derivative joke from the word “gaijin” which in some context is a pejorative term of the formal “gaikokujin” meaning “foreigner”. Basical...
Coming back to a normal life
It was about 3 weeks of silence due to the great Tohoku earthquake. I have a lot to say and little time for blogging so let’s start. However, what you will find here are not breaking news, but thoughts and conclusions from the point of view of a fore...

Japan Earthquake aftermath
Theses are the photos I took right after the earthquake. There was no electricity in my area and no traffic light was working.
